Yeah, that’s not good at all. When my wife’s G37x was totaled last year it showed less obvious damage than that, though that was in the rear and the car was worth less.

Maybe look at the used market for her next car? A mid-2000s Volvo, Lexus, or Infiniti can be acquired for relatively cheap, still provide safety, and avoid the financial hit of a new car. Plus, they’re still luxury cars, with plenty of accessories and features.

Definitely glad she was ok. Sorry about the car, and the dent in the wallet for sure.
My wife commutes in a Mini and while she loves her car, it’s for sure not the most ideal thing to be sharing the road with all the big cars out there... again, glad she’s OK and hopefully insurance will help you out here.

The thing that surprised me a bit was that the QX60 (
?, I can’t keep Infiniti models straight anymore...
) doesn’t have a knee airbag. I would not have guessed that. Either that, or it did not deploy.

Passenger side one looks to have a big hole in it. I was surprised that the driver’s side doesn’t appear to be damaged, though it would be easy to miss a crash on the edge.

Glad to hear she's ok. Just looking at the damage on the front fenders near the base of the A pillars makes me think the frame rails are shot enough that it might get totalled out.

Yeah I’m guessing that’s a total looks like structural. Car did it’s job though and nobody got hurt. Still sucks though. My thoughts are with you. Hopefully everything will work out as ok as these things can.
